Personal Statement
My name is Ryan Schepers and I have been exploring universities for enrolment in 2024. I hope to either go into the legal or educational field. I am currently a junior in Ontario, Canada, with a 3.9 GPA.
In the 2023 season, I was a starting second baseman and one of four pitchers on my team, the Huron Perth Nationals. We competed in the PWSA u17 Tier 1 division, ranking 7th in the province.
Aside from softball, I volunteer avidly around the community for fundraisers such as The Coldest Night of the Year (a nation-wide charity for those who are less fortunate), in classrooms at local elementary schools, and during tryouts for local minor sports such as South Huron Minor Hockey.
At the age of 15, I created my own business teaching swimming lessons in my backyard as a fully lisenced swim instructor. I have continued to run this business alongside two other jobs within the community. I have also received training in umpiring as well as refereeing in ice hockey.
I believe that my hard work within the community has allowed me to be a strong leader who is very coachable. I am a team player and thrive on competition!
