Hello, my name is Scarlett Russell. I am a good fit for your team because i am motivated, coachable, competitive, dedicated, and have a strong work ethic. That being said, I have been playing softball for 6 years and prior to that I played hardball and t-ball ever since I can remember. I have grown to really love this sport and the opportunities it has given me to grow as an athlete and as a person on and off the field. I am a strong believer that the work I put in reflects immensely on my performance on and off the field, mentally and physically. Overall, what i believe really separates me from other recruits is my ability to push myself beyond my limits and really find every last ounce of effort in order to give 100% effort 100% of the time, whether that might be in practice, training on my own, in games, or in academics. This requires accountability and discipline because sometimes I am the only one there to push myself. I know that i am coachable and have really learned absorb feedback in order to benefit myself and my athletic or academic abilities because i know that i have not reached my full potential and i am willing to challenge myself in order to reach that goal. I am a dependable teammate and player which i believe also sets me apart from other recruits. When it comes to my colligate goals and aspirations, i would like to go into medicine while working towards a pre-med degree on my way to my ultimate goal of becoming a surgeon. I work very hard in academics in order to set myself up for success in the future, as well i know that school is so important in every aspect of life. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and am constantly working to maintain that. Lastly, i believe that leadership is a key aspect in all team sports, however especially in softball because of the comradery this sport is known to have. I believe that i have leadership qualities which is why I am the right player for your team. I want to be a part of a team so I am able to make an impact on your team and to lead the team with positivity, strength, encouragement and motivation.
