I have wanted to play college softball for as long as I can remember. I've been playing since I was six years old, and I love the game more now than ever. The biggest things I can offer any college team would be my speed (Home to Home time is 11.4), my drive to compete and success in things other than softball. When I was about 11 years old I became a slapper, which made me fall in love with the game in a whole new way. I love the aspect of being able to read the defense and decide what strategy I'm going to use. Because I'm 5'3", defenses will come in on me, which strengthens my strategy as a triple threat. It's almost like a game within a game. I love it. My speed is what makes me special and different from other candidates. Because of this speed, and my ability to read defenses, my on base % has been over 500 the last 2 years. I became a primary outfielder because of my speed, and early on in my softball years the coaches naturally put me there. As I got older, I have come to love being an outfielder and feel extremely important and valued member of my team. I love making that huge double play when I catch a ball in CF, and then throw out the runner who's going from 3rd to home thinking she's got a chance. I strive to be the hardest working girl on the field at all times. I want to be the first one out there and the first one back in the dugout every time and i think walking on the field is awful. My success in things other than softball applies to all other parts of my life. I'm very involved in Leadership at my school. We have close to 3,000 students in my high school with 66 different languages. I'm one of nine students on ASB which is our student body government. I'm the Commissioner of Arts and Culture at my school and with 66 different languages, my job is pretty big. I'm also in National Honors Society and a member of my varsity swim team. I have a 3.9 weighted GPA, so I think it's clear that school is very important to me. The biggest thing I can offer you is my drive to compete and contribute at the highest level possible to all things in my life with a positive manner.
