Hello, my name is Madysen E Burkey; I’m currently a sophomore attending Huntingdon Area High school in Huntingdon on PA. I was born August 18th, 2004 in Suffolk VA. I am currently 5’4” and 130 LBS. I throw RH and bat LH. My primary position is 1st and my secondary position is 2nd, but I can also play 3rd and center field. I love the sport of softball, I’ve been playing since I was 4. As a little girl my parents exposed me to many different sports but even then it was clear that a softball field is where I belong. Throughout my years of softball I’ve had many great opportunities to work with many different coaches. Each and everyone of them helped me become a stronger player. I am very open to coaches opinions because I know there is always room for improvement. Outside of school and softball I enjoy hanging out with friends and family. I’m very into physical fitness. I spend a lot of time doing something active whether it’s working on my game, going for a run, or going to the gym. A big accomplishment for me was being a starting first basemen for my varsity team. I had a tough time competing with players that were almost 5 years older than me because I’m so young for my grade but soon enough I was a part of the team. On the field I am a very cheerful and supportive player. Constantly cheering on my teammates no matter what the situation. When it come to playing at I college level, I’m very open minded about what division and what college I attend as long as it’s an academically good school and I am able to play the sport I love. I would like to major in nursing and later become a traveling nurse. Thank you for taking time to read a little bit about me.
