Personal Statement

I would love to be a psychiatrist and help people struggling with mental health.  I like that you are able to meet different people, and give them a solution to what they thought was a hopeless situation. I would like to find a college with a strong science program to prepare me for this career.

Through the years I have been active in dance, gymnastics, and cheerleading.  I have tried soccer, tennis, and volleyball, but softball is my favorite sport of all.  I started on a B level travel ball team and have now played on an A level team last year.  I like to play first base, but I particularly love pitching.  Last year,  I started hitting lessons to take my skill to the next level.  I also have begun working with a professional pitching coach in the last year.  Though it has been frustrating and stressful at times,  having to relearn my mechanics, it so rewarding to see how hard work pays off.  It is wonderful to see how much progress I have made with my hitting and pitching in just the last year.  It has really helped build my confidence and my emotional strength.  I am excited to see how I will continue to grow in my craft.

I strive for excellence in the classroom and on the field.  Through middle and high school I have stayed on the Principal’s List High A Honor roll while staying active in band, orchestra, Interact club, cheerleading, JV softball, Varsity softball, and Club softball.  As part of Interact club and the National Honor Society,  I have been a part of several school and community volunteer activities.  I also volunteer in our church nursery twice a month.  I have started piano lessons this year too.

As a leader on my team, I know that my actions represent my coaches and my team. Therefore, I will always strive to maintain a positive attitude, encourage my teammates, and carry myself with honor and dignity. I will try to continually work on bettering myself, my game, and to motivate those around me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
