My ideal college is a place that challenges me academically as well as athletically. I look forward to building strong relationships with my future coaches and teammates.
My love for athletics started when I was 6 years old playing softball. I was always the kid that asked to run around the bases and play running relays at the end of practice. During the end of my sixth grade year my gym coach handed me a letter that basically said “we want to you run for us”. I went home and told my parents that I was going to start running cross country. Everyone thought I had lost my mind. I started out my first race toeing the line as a 80 pound seventh grader on JV. I ended that race as the first JV girl and beat half of the girls on my schools varsity team. After that race, I was hooked.
My cross country team and I have won 3 consecutive State Championships. My track team and I have also won 2 consecutive State Championships. I am thankful that I have a natural running ability. However, I realize that I need expert coaching to reach the next level of my running career.
