My name is Noel Kist and I am from Pierre, South Dakota. I am 16 and will graduate High School in 2025. One of my goals is to play softball at the collegiate level. I have been playing fastpitch softball since I was about six years old and pitching since I was eight. I am a right-handed pitcher/utility player and a left-handed hitter. I'm 5' 2" tall and 126lbs. We have a summer league and a traveling club league in the fall. Since I live in the upper Midwest we are unable to play year-round, but we have access to a local church gym and also we have a shop where I work at improving my pitching and hitting skills in the winter. As a freshman in high school, I won the "heart of a governor" award. The meaning behind this award is someone that loves softball, teammates, coaches and has a lot of dedication towards the sport. It also can mean that you are a leader on and off the field. My teammates chose me for this award and I was very blessed to earn it. This past fall season as a Sophomore I heard the "Miss Hustle" award. I was the starting pitcher for the JV team. I look forward to the first season of high school sanctioned softball this spring.
A little more about myself, I enjoy all sports, spending most of my free time either playing or watching sports. In the summer, I enjoy working with younger girls teaching them the basic mechanics of softball. I also enjoy going to softball games and watching what I can give coaches pointers on what their girls could improve on.
I would like to pursue my college career playing softball and getting my degree. I haven’t decided what I would like to do quite yet but I am leaning towards something in education, coaching, or athletics. I currently have a 3.833 GPA, which has been consistent at a 3.8.
