Ella Ward-Zeller '22 Recruiting Profile

Swimming brings me so much joy, physically, mentally and emotionally.  I am very thankful that I have the ability to do what I love.  I started swimming when I was 6 and joined the Pierre Swim Team when I was 7 years old.  I was able to qualify for state that year and fell in love with swimming.  Swimming has allowed me to open up, be myself and provides me with increased confidence.

I am a hard worker in all aspects of my life.  During practice I push myself to do the best that I can.  When I wasn't able to swim from March to June due to Covid I kept myself active.  I started running, biking, dryland and really anything I could do to stay fit. I also work hard in school and with my job.  I am diagnosed with dyslexia and at times school has been challenging but it has not stopped me from pushing myself. When I am focused on a goal, I work hard and do everything that I can do to reach it.  

I know that I have faster times in my future!
