Shealay Smith '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Shealay Smith and i attend Wolsey - Wessington High School. I have been pitching ever since I started softball.  Me and my family have always joked that ever since T-ball I have been in the Pitcher position and that's why it has become my passion. I have played slow-pitch for the past few years because living in a small town does not offer fast-pitch. However, I have learned and pushed my self to better my fast-pitch and learning new skills and techniques.  I have always had a passion for softball and spend all my summer dedicated to bettering everything skill I possibly can. I do the same in school. Grades are very important to me and I have big goals that I push myself to achieve.  I strive to be a good leader and have been put into positions in my activities that I have been good at problem solving and leading a team or group the right way.
