My 8th-grade year was the start of my high school softball experience. That year was my first year learning to pitch and it was literally 2 days before the first game of the season. As the starting pitcher for the CGLA Mustangs. I had to learn the value of teamwork which taught me that no one is left behind that your team has your back. Confidence for me was at a low point in that position as I typically didn't know what I was doing. After many practices with my coach, I began to gain confidence in not only myself but in my team as well. As I gradually gained a secondary position as a catcher. Behind the plate, I got to see the frustration that a pitcher goes through. As I was able to encourage her to push through that she had back up in a play. I had to take a leadership role for the team and encourage everyone and myself that we can make it. Going into my Junior Year of Highschool I have the confidence, strength, leadership and the sacrifice to compete for college teams. I believe I have what it takes to be your next college pitcher and catcher. I am looking for a school that is academically strong and will allow me and encourages me to balance the time I spend in the classroom and on the playing field. I am open to all divisions and I plan to major in computer engineering during my college years. I believe that I bring enthusiasm, positivity, and leadership to my team not just by words but through my actions as well. I would love to make an immediate impact on a team that is welcoming of me as a Student-Athlete.
