Hello, my name is Madison Martin; I am currently a Senior at Creekview High School in Carrollton, TX. I am a right handed pitcher and right handed hitter. My primary position is pitcher and my secondary position are the corners, First and Third base. As a freshman I was used as a flex player. I was the starting Pitcher for my schools JV team where we were second in our district and I was a backup utility player for varsity. As a sophomore, I earned a starting spot in the varsity lineup and helped our team win the Texas 11-5A District title while boasting an undefeated record in district play. I was asked to fill many roles this season, playing both 3rd and 1st Base, Pitcher and at times as a DH. Being one of the most consistent hitters, I have always been able to remain in the line-up in one capacity or another. During the summer of 2019 I had the opportunity to represent my select team, TCA 18U Krutsch , and our country while playing in Sydney and Brisbane, Australia. I have played and been interested in softball since I was 7 years old. Playing softball has taught me many lesson's that I will be able to use as I move forward in life such as teamwork, focus, discipline, and dealing with failure. Through playing the sport, I’ve learned that I’m a hard worker, I am coach-able, and that mistakes don't define me, but are opportunities to grow and get better. Due to my advanced classes and softball I don’t have much free time but when I’m not playing, practicing or doing schoolwork, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family as well as reading or listening to music. After high school I plan to play softball in college but also pursue a career in the medical field. I know with hard work and dedication, I will get there.
Thank you for your time and consideration,
Madison Martin
