My name is Kaylin Ortner, I am part of the class of 2022 at Franklin High School in Franklin, Tx. I play middle infield for my High School Team and middle infield / outfield for my select team. I have played softball since I was 6 years old. I knew from a young age that softball was going to be a big part of my future. My most important accomplishments were being nominated as 1st Team All District New Comer of the year and 2nd Team All Brazos Valley as a Freshman. I look forward to the up coming years and hope to continue accomplishing / receiving several more honors.
I have been asked several times why I want to play college softball. My answer always has been, because I want to play the game I love for as long as I can. Even though hopes and dreams are always good things to have, I understand the hard work and determination it takes to play at the next level. I have always been a competitor, whether it is in sports or school. I love the challenge that softball brings and I can't wait to compete at the collegiate level.
When I think about choosing what schools I would like to go to, my options are pretty open. I really want to attend a school that will not only push me to be a better athlete but also drive me to become a better person. My goal is to Major in Physical Therapy. I would love to work with athletes and help them get back to 100% so they can continue the game they love. I am excited about finding the right school, team and coaches to help mold me for the rest of my life.
