My name is Caylee Paige Schronk. I was born on October 16, 2008 which currently makes me 14 years old and part of the 2027 graduating class from Navarro High School in Geronimo Texas. My family moved here four years ago from Lubbock located in the Texas Panhandle. As a 10 year old girl the transition from Lubbock to the small town of Geronimo was what one would expect of a young girl approaching the line between childhood and her teenage years. My parents looked for ways to get me involved with other girls in the community who were my age. We came across Little League Softball. I took to it like a fish to water. I absolutely love playing softball. I like the fact that besides being a sport in which I can compete against myself and push myself to reach that unattainable goal of perfection softball also provides that camaraderie and desire to better one another as teammates. The fact that the success of an entire team not only rests on the shoulders of each player individually but also depends on the interaction of teammates with one another is the perfect scenario to foster responsibility, leadership, and accountability which are three qualities that my parents have instilled in me from a young age. My ultimate dream is to play college softball while completing pre-requisites to pursue an advanced degree in either Medicine or Veterinary Medicine. The commitment I have demonstrated thus far to maintaining good grades while playing school sports and select softball will continue throughout college and beyond. I am driven, committed, coachable, social, and excited to continue my journey in this sport. I will bring pride, as a future alumnus, to any school that decides to give me the opportunity. I look forward to the opportunity to visit and I thank you in advance for your consideration.
