I began playing golf when I was in seventh grade, but I did not start practicing seriously until I was a freshman in high school. Freshman year I started taking golf lessons and in the spring semester I started attending weekly lessons. I have continued taking weekly lessons since and currently work with a PGA professional. I have made the varsity team every year in high school and have played in STPGA tournaments outside of school as well. My home course is Starcke Park Golf Course in Seguin, Texas and I often play other courses in neighboring towns. When I do not have the opportunity to practice at the golf course, I utilize my driving range at home. I enjoy playing golf because it is outside and a relaxing way to exercise.
I am extremely devoted to my schoolwork, and this year I am enrolled in three honors classes, a dual credit class, and an AP class. My GPA is 102.1 (4.0), and I am currently first in my class. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time outdoors while improving my photography skills. After high school, I hope to continue playing golf. My future goals include expanding my knowledge of conserving natural resources, including native plant and animal species.
