Kharma Haltom '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kharma Haltom and I am a sophmore at Newton High School. I have been playing softball since I was in fourth grade and I absolutely fell in love with playing the sport. I started playing at the select level since the summer of 2017 after meeting my coach Billy Mitchell. Not only did my athletic level improve, my level of hard work, dedication and persistence also improved. On the field, I try my best to be the best player I can be as well as in the classroom, I try my best to be the best student I can be. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA all through middle school as well as being valavictorian and I have continued that throughout high school upping my GPA to a 4.15 as a sophomore.

 I can play multiple positions, but I am best at second base and left field. I have played with a travel team known as OOC Fastpitch Mitchell  and my varsity high school team as number 19. I now am playing for Jasper Impact 16U under the same number. I am very blessed to be apart of these amazing teams, supportive coaches and loving teammates. I’ve learned the importance of teamwork, leadership and hard work and I feel I could be a good asset to your team!
