Mia Gray '24 Recruiting Profile

I can remember the first time I played softball. It was scary and exciting and amazing all at once. That's never changed. Softball is my world and has been since I was 5 years old. I love the game and that is why I am a good candidate.  Additionally, I am a team player and support everyone, even on their hardest days. I am coachable, honest, and will push myself to do my best- even on MY hardest days. Where there is more to learn, I am ready and excited to learn it, and where there may be others who can learn from me, I am happy to share what I know. My character speaks volumes about who am on a softball team and where I fit. I have been on the mound or near it since I was 10 years old and put in a position of leadership. I use this position in a positive way; never letting it go to my head and never tearing down my team. I am the first on the field and the last to leave. I am the one who loses her voice every single game. I am pumped to play and even more pumped to be everyone's rock and lift them up! My coach can count on me to not only execute on the field and get the job done, but to rally the girls and keep everyone else motivated and loving the game as I do! 

My goals beyond high school include continuing my softball career at the collegiate level, while studying teaching. I would like to be able to coach someday. I would like to do these things at a school that can challenge me both academically and athletically, allow me to stay steadfast in my Christian faith, and still be a great college experience for me.
