Ryleigh Peters '20 Recruiting Profile

18 Home Runs Summer season 2018.

Ryleigh Peters is a 16.6 year old from Lindon, UT.  She is a Junior who attends Pleasant Grove High School with a 2020 graduation.  5-5 135 lb. frame.  C, SS, and OF.   She has a medium frame with strong throwing arm.  Secondary position is Shortstop with predictive knowledge of the game. Solid hitter. Clean footwork and glove work.

Experience:

• Competed in travel ball for over seven years.
• USSSA Fastpitch Tournaments
• Utah High School Athletics in 6A Division
• Current and former teams won or placed in top 4 of almost every tournament attended.
• Named “MVP” coaches choice award at a regional tournament.
• Named “Gamechanger” by High School Coach in spring.

Training:

• Hitting and strategic training with three D1 Coaches (Baseball and Softball) and two former D1 college players.
• Catching training (brief) with a former D1 college player.
• Strength and Fitness training at school.
• Great work ethic at home: hitting in cage, throwing in field, extra catching for pitching friends.
• Plays an average of 70-80 games per summer season and 30-40 per spring season with additional camps.
• Enrolled in a D1 college hitting camp in Utah.
• Enrolled in a D1 showcase event in December in Utah.
• Will be playing at the Desert Fall Fastpitch Softball Tournament 18U Division in St. George, Utah on November 9-10.

Results:

Finished spring 2018 high school season, another summer division league, and so far nine regional tournaments as of today.  Summer stats 18U Division were as follows:

• .405 batting average, OBP .472  /  OPS 1.265  /  SLG .793
• 18 Homeruns / 3 month summer / 18U Play
• Leadoff batter because of my consistency and leadership
• Starter Catcher F% .971
• Approximately 40 RBI (video of a 3RBI Home Run for Varsity High School team against a nationally ranked pitcher at High School State Tournament this spring.)

Ryleigh is a good student and holds a 3.8 GPA / Honor Roll Student.  She a Concurrent Enrollment student at Utah Valley University (D1).  She enjoys horseback riding, boating and traveling.  Plan to major in Dental Hygiene and obtain BA or Master’s degree in Public Health Services.
