November 2016 Personal Statement
My name is Olivia Bowen, I am a 5'5 right handed pitcher. I go to Fair Haven Union High School, in Vermont, and play on our varsity softball team. I am determined to play softball in college with a great team and awesome coaches. I am a very well rounded person, I get along with everyone. I mainly pitch, but I can play anywhere that you ask me to go. I will become the player you want me to be at any position on the field. My secondary position is first base, but would not mind anywhere that you put me. I work hard every practice and want nothing but the best for myself. As well as on the field, I also want the best academic school I can possibly get in to. I work hard in the class room, and that carries out onto the softball field. I have very good time management skills, juggling school and sports isn't easy but I still manage to get good grades. I strive to be the best I can at my academics and softball. I have leadership skills in the classroom and out on the field.

- Olivia has worked with college pitchers for the last seven years. She had started pitching in third grade but as she entered fourth grade we had found her a college pitcher from Castleton State College. She has worked with Emily Sweeney for four years, Taylor Lively for two years and in between a short time she also had worked with Bill Onley. She is now working with a senior, Katie Gagne, also from Castleton University.

- Olivia has worked very hard since the age of 14 with her personal trainer here at our local gym. She works with Jamie Matta at Fair Haven Fitness on strength training, agility, and core to help her excel with both her sports, basketball and softball.
