My name is Selma Dombrowski and I'm 5'0. I am currently a Junior at Deep Run High school. I'm an athlete that knows and loves the game of softball. One of my accomplishments was hitting my first home run in a high school game against Tucker. I have been on the varsity softball team at Deep Run High school since my freshman year. What I can offer to the team is that I always make sure I give my best effort. I am always hustling on and off the field. When I am not on the field I am always up on the fence cheering for my teammates.
A little bit about me is that I never get down on my self when I make a mistake. I always put a smile on my face to make sure that I don't bring my teammates down. Throughout my 6 years of playing softball, I've worked hard to become a better softball player with the help of my coaches, teammates, and parents. The reason I love the game is because I love competition and I love the feeling of getting that perfect hit and making a difficult play but more importantly I love making a connection with my teammates.
When it comes to choosing a school, I would like to stay in state but if there is a better opportunity elsewhere, then I would consider out of state. I just hope to find a college that is the best fit for me. I want my college years to be full of new experiences and full of personal growth. My goal is to go into a science major that will help me get into medical school. On the field, I plan to be an aggressive player and a positive influence on my team. Most importantly, I will conduct myself respectfully on and off the field, knowing that the way I carry myself will reflect on me, my team, coaches, and the school that I go to.
