Taylor Gore '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Taylor Gore and I’m a 2024 middle infielder and utility player.  My primary position is shortstop.  In 2022, for my High School Varsity team, I was asked to play 3rd base. I completed the season with a .963 fielding percentage.   I also played 3rd base in 2023 for Cosby High School and earned a position in the starting batting lineup.  I play shortstop for my travel team now.  I am successful anywhere in the batting lineup and am used for my hitting, bunting, speed and base running skills.  I have been playing softball since the age of 9 and have developed a true love for the sport.  I have learned life lessons about hard work, leadership and working as a team during my years of playing and want to continue the journey into the collegiate level.  I believe in working every day to earn your position on the field.  I give 110% every time I practice or play in a game and give 110% in the classroom.  I want to join a team who works as hard as I do and supports the mission of the team.  I am a fierce competitor who wants to succeed both on the field and in the classroom.  My collegiate goals are to earn a B.S. in nursing, work towards my Masters and become a nurse practitioner.  I am an honor roll student taking numerous AP and Dual Enrollment courses each year, play High School and Travel softball and also work a part time job throughout the year.  I am a good teammate, student and all-around athlete.
