Hello, my name is Brearley Jayne Curfman. I attend Bainbridge High School (Bainbridge Island, WA), at which I am currently a junior. As a student and an athlete, I strive everyday to work my hardest and improve at everything I do. Growing up with two brothers pushed me to be competitive and challenge myself to keep up with them, primarily this occurred in sports. Outside of school, I am involved in a variety of things including: softball, basketball, theatre, Book club, Ceramics club, and Sports Analytics club.
In school, I continue to strive and push myself. As a freshman, sophomore, and junior I have taken honors classes as well as taking AP Environmental Science as a junior. Looking to the future, I would love the opportunity to continue to play and improve my game in college as well as study acting and theatre. I have been doing performing arts since before I can remember and it is something that I am passionate and talented at. I plan to continue to pursue a career in the acting industry after college.
Throughout my life, sports has been one of my biggest constants. I played baseball through elementary and middle school, switching over to softball my freshman year of high school. Because of COVID, I was only able to practice with my high school, but as a sophomore, I was a starting outfielder for my high school team. I also joined a select team (the Kitsap Titans) as a sophomore, which gave me the opportunity to improve and hone my skills. I am now playing select softball for Seattle Spice Fastpitch. On this team, I have been able to make the transition to middle infield where I most enjoy playing. I am now playing shortstop and second base for Seattle Spice Fastpitch.
Softball is something that I deeply love and I think helps me bring a unique perspective to my acting projects and shows. I am looking to find a college/university where I can combine both of these interests and prosper.
