Hi! My name is Lauren Pujolar. I am currently a Junior at Bainbridge High School in Washington State and will graduate in 2022. I am a starting midfielder on my Varsity high school team and my coach is Tami Tommila. My high school team won our conference and we also finished 2nd place in the State Championship game for Washington in 2019, losing by one goal in the last minute of the game. I am also a starting midfielder on the Puget Sound Select Elite U-19 Team and my coaches are Tami Tommila and Jamie Asaka. I also am on the Varsity soccer team for my high school and I am a starter. Freshman year I was All-Conference and on the Regional Team (Team Washington.)
I greatly want to play lacrosse in college because I love the speed, intensity and athletic and leadership skills required to play at a high caliber. I like to push myself to get stronger and faster and to be a better player each day. Playing in college is my dream because I am never happier and more alive than when I run down the field at full speed, dodging girls and fighting for the ball. I also feel my best when I am playing my hardest, for a great coach and with strong teammates surrounding me on the field. I could not imagine not playing lacrosse in college because it is literally my favorite way to spend my time.
I am a strong candidate for your team because I am a leader on the field, I give 100% at every practice and I am open to learning every time I play from my coaches and my teammates. I am positive in my mindset and I like to be challenged by older and stronger athletes on the field because I typically perform better when I have harder competition. I am supportive and encouraging to my teammates and my teammates have always become my deepest and most trusted friends.
I am a well rounded student athlete. I currently have a 3.71 Grade Point Average and I am on National Honor Society. I work very hard in my classes and getting good grades is important to me. I am in Honors English currently. I really love my Science classes and I would like to be a physical therapist when I graduate.
In addition to my academic life, I am the Class Secretary for my high school class, I am on the yearbook staff, I am on LINK crew, a club to support incoming Freshman to high school life. Further, I volunteer as an Assistant Coach for the 5/6 and 7/8 lacrosse teams in my area and I I volunteer at summer soccer and lacrosse camps in my community. Lastly, I babysit and personally train young girls in lacrosse.
I have a very loving family and both of my parents play sports and have coached youth sports. I have two younger sisters and we all spend our time at fields year round. I also love to travel and spend time with my friends, and my favorite moments are traveling to lacrosse tournaments on airplanes and hanging out with my favorite teammates after our games.
