Solana Vazquez '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi! My name is Solana Vazquez, and I am an outfielder in the class of 2022 at West Valley High School. Becoming a college student-athlete has been a massive goal of mine since elementary school.  I’ve always challenged myself athletically and academically. I challenge myself in school by enrolling in AP classes, all while running a Multicultural Club at my school, being a member of the dance team at my school, holding a part time job, as well as playing at a highly competitive level in softball. When I was younger, my mom had me try every sport; gymnastics, basketball, horseback riding, wrestling..and of course, softball. I'm grateful for that, because the one that I fell in love with is softball. It is the most mentally and physically challenging out there, but that being said also the most rewarding. I’ve created so many life long lasting bonds with coaches and players.  Softball has pushed me to my limit and shaped me to be a team player, as well as built my character, on and off the field. For the love of the game, I aspire to play at the next level and I will work my very hardest to make that dream turn into a reality.
