Ashley Borowitz '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Ashley Borowitz. I play for BATS Academy out of Mequon, Wisconsin.  I am from Oshkosh, Wisconsin attending Oshkosh North High School. Softball is my main sport, out of the three I play. Coach Keith Koslowski is the new head softball coach this year. With the help of swimming during the fall and basketball during the winter, my upper body strength and conditioning has greatly increased.  I have played summer softball for the Oshkosh North Spartans (youth program), BATS Academy, and FirePro Fastpitch.  Academically, I have straight A’s and have no problem making room for my school time while keeping up with sports.  Some of my favorite subjects right now are Anatomy, Trigonometry, and English Honors.  My professional goals are getting good grades in school and always putting my best effort forward.  My collegiate major is undecided, but the medical profession and criminal justice have always been interests of mine.  Intellectually, being an honor roll student is always an academic goal that I strive for.  These goals have been tough to achieve, but it will put me in a better position later in life when I have to make difficult decisions, both quickly and carefully.  That is what I love about the game of softball.  It not only teaches me to be mentally tough throughout all seven innings, but off the field and in my everyday life.  My motto is: “always try my best and to forget the rest”.
