Throughout high school I have been involved in a few different things but academics being the major component. I have some pretty big goals involving my future, however besides academics I also have athletic goals. Sports and school are a pretty big part of my life. I have always felt like I should focus more on school instead of getting caught up in too many activities. So with that I haven’t been involved in whole lot more than just softball, volleyball, and school.
I have always wanted to go to college for as long as I can remember even as a young child I may not have known it was college I still knew that I wanted to be something big. Within the last few years I really fell in love with the medical field, since about seventh grade I knew that was what I wanted. I am now striving to go to college to get my biology or biochemistry major and then move on to medical school, after med school I will do a residency. However while in school I also desire to continue on to play college softball.
I have played softball since the age of five years old when I started t-ball and I have played every spring since then. Throughout softball I have built some very strong relationships with coaches, teammates, and sometimes even some opponents.Softball has taught me that hard work really does pay off in the end. During my freshman year I played on the junior varsity team, I then worked very hard to better myself to then be the starting first baseman as a sophomore on varsity. We had a very small and young team my sophomore year and struggled a lot. Our starting catcher had gotten injured early on in the season and so we didn’t have a catcher so I stepped up to catch. We still continued to struggle during the season as we had some girls quit and some injured but I kept my head up because I love the game.
I continue to work hard everyday to better myself at the things I am passionate about and hope that my hard work pays off and I accomplish my goals. However if I do not, I will continue to keep my head up and keep pushing my way through to continue a good, happy, healthy and fun life.
