Hi! Im Angela Rougeot- Donath and ever since I could start playing sports, I've played softball. Before I actually started playing softball, I played baseball with the boys, I did that until I was around twelve years old, and right from there I started playing softball and haven't stopped ever since. For my traveling team, wausau fastpitch, I was bumped up to 14u's the first year of my softball career when I was around twelve, thirteen years old. I was originally switching off between being a third baseman and a shortstop, but another coach for a different team that was from the same area wanted me to help out at one of their tournaments and my coach, Jamie, wanted me to be a catcher. From then on, I never stopped catching and I never stopped playing for that team. After about maybe a year in 14u's, I was bumped up into the 16u's. In middle school, I was also the starting catcher for all three years and sometimes switched with the shortstop position as well. In highschool last year, freshman year, I was the starting catcher for Newman Catholic High school and I was the number four batter. My coaches told me I was a very good base runner, but I always try to be better. I ended the season with almost twenty steals, I got seventeen. When the season ended I was awarded the 2nd Team All-Conference award and the Most Valuable Player award my freshman year and I hope to accomplish much more in my next years.
