My name is Grace Harder and I'm a senior at Eagle River High School in Eagle RIver, Alaska. I've been playing basketball for 10 years, but just recently began looking to continue playing at a higher level. My dad was in the military so we moved around a lot, never giving me the chance to get involved in a traveling team or to focus on possibly playing basketball in college. However, after a coaching staff change at my high school, I've been encouraged to step outside of my comfort zone and pursue what I love to do. I love the game of basketball, so I would like to keep playing as long as I can. Currently, I am a varsity starter, as well as team captain for my high school team, and I've been averaging about 8 points and 12 rebounds this past season. I can honestly say that I give all my effort every time I step on the court, no matter if it's practice or a game. Win or lose, I come into the game with the mentality that I'm going to give it 100% and leave everything I have on the floor. I'm interested in studying two different things that don't really go together: music and law. I have a passion specifically for music ministry and pre-law, and would like to pursue either or both of those subjects.
