Anne Lillis '20 Recruiting Profile

    I have been playing basketball since I was in the third grade, and fell in love with the game not only by playing, but by watching my older brother play as well. He was a huge inspiration to me, and now plays at the collegiate level. I love the game, and am always pushing myself to be better and encouraging others. I think this past year was a turning point for me personally, not only in the way I play, but in my mental strength as well. I was determined to push myself harder than I thought I could go, and I grew a lot as a player and a person because of that. I was motivated by the desire to be able to compete at the next level, and to be able to help and lead my team in the coming season. I was diligent every day to work on my game and get better in any way that I could, and I continue to strive to improve my skills and my mental toughness. I am a leader on and off the court, and I do my best to let my work ethics and passion for basketball carry over to my teammates to help us grow and improve together.

    In addition, I love school and I love to learn. I have a true passion for writing, especially creative writing. I think a career in publishing or writing- such as screenplay or freelance creative writing - would be a dream come true. My other interests include humanities, psychology, film studies and film production, and art history. I am excited for college not only for the amazing experience of playing basketball at the next level but also taking new and interesting classes and broadening my horizons.
