As an elementary student at a K-12 school, I was always in awe of our girls high school basketball team, top-ranking nationally and the rock star team of our school. Attending the games were electric and it really sparked my interest in the sport. I started to play in 3rd grade and have been playing ever since. My passion for basketball has also been reinforced by my courtside view and on the court action during my 4 seasons as a ballgirl for the Stanford Women’s basketball team. I admired the intelligence, leadership and talent of amazing women players like Erica McCall and Brittney McPhee. That experience as well as attending very exciting Pac-12 Championship games and the Final Four games (including being courtside when Mississippi State beat Connecticut in 2017) have had a big influence in my desire to play basketball for a great academic college or university.
While I started basketball in 3rd grade, I consider myself a multi-sport athlete. I have learned that while I love to play basketball, it has also been important for me to participate in other school and club sports such as soccer, track and field, cross-country, swimming and rowing. I believe this has helped me become a more well-rounded athlete and has allowed me to put my athletic and leadership potential to test not only in basketball but in other sports as well. My goal is to graduate high school with varsity letters in Cross-Country, Basketball, Swimming and Track and Field.
I attended Cate School, an academically-rigorous boarding school for my freshman and sophomore years. Due to the pandemic, I transferred to Woodside Priory as a local day student the beginning of my junior year. While in high school, I plan to take a variety of courses in the Sciences, the Arts and more to keep an open mind to different paths that I could pursue in college and beyond. My goal is to attend a liberal arts college or university where I have the options to further expand my learnings. I am currently quite interested in neuroscience, pre-med courses and exploring more of my artistic side in courses such as screenwriting.
It has been my dream for awhile now to play collegiate basketball for an outstanding coach and team at a top-tier college/university. I am coachable and am a proven leader and a team player both on and off the court. I also really feel that I have the skills, drive, instincts and above all passion to be a great college basketball player.
