My name is Alyssa Saldana and I've been playing basketball since I was 2 years old. I've been around it for as long as I can remember, and I have loved it for just as long. That love for the game comes from my competitive nature. This has made basketball a big part of my life. When somethings bothering me or when I am stressed, I pick up a basketball to clear all my thoughts. Another aspect that helps fuel my love for the game, is the team aspect. I always want to be the best teammate I can and be that positive light whenever it is needed. Being able to get my teammates involved is apart of being a good teammate for me. I believe I am a true leader: helping others be the best them. My favorite part of my game is my court vision and passing ability. I see the the court well and can predict what others will do. I am excited to continue my academics in college, and look forward to being able to study concepts I find fascinating. I would like to find a college that is a true fit for me, and will help me continue to grow and develop not just as a student-athlete but as a person in general. Wherever I go I will continue to work hard and expand my game to become the best athlete I can be.
