Wrestling has been in my family for decades. Throughout my 11 years of wrestling, I have learned invaluable lessons that I plan on holding close to me through the rest of my life. These lessons include reaping the fruits of your labor, the value of humility, and the value of teammates and coaches. In my pursuit of winning a state championship this year, I plan on applying these values while learning new ones. This is what can be expected from me year in and year out as a collegiate wrestler. I am a committed athlete who is always seeking to improve in all regards and as my wrestling team’s captain, I know the importance of leading by example. My collegiate goals are to become an academic All-American as well as a wrestling All-American. I plan on accomplishing this by making the most out of my training sessions, using all the academic resources available to excel academically in addition to following the guidance of my coaches and professors.
