Structure in sports has become a major foundation for all I have done and all I am looking to do. The planning, hard work both as a team and individual, practice, dedication, positive environment are all required for success. This was something I learned at a young age and drives me every day socially, with school work, extra activities, and in athletics.
In the 7th grade is when I realized basketball was the sport I love and wanted to master. Basketball is fast paced, required team work and individual work along with strategic planning and dedication. All I love, however, this did not come easy. I did not make my 7th grade Middle School team and realized then that I needed to dedicate my time to the sport I am so passionate of. This required me to have a plan to work out, play more, join the Storm, and concentrate on my school work. The structure of sports helped me achieve my goals and more.
I plan to play basketball in college and study to become a Physicians Assistant. The lessons learn I have of playing through the Storm and High School along with the belief in this structure will allow me to contribute, learn, and enjoy my experiences both academically and athletically.
