My name is A'Vonia Oquendo-Waters. I Have been playing basketball for about 7 years. I also love the sport and the people i come in contact with. To me the game is competitive and fun. I am a very hardworking and humble player. I don't catch attitudes if someone pushes me or anything because I signed up for it because basketball is a contact sport. I want to go to college to be a Pediatric Nurse it would be nice if i played basketball in college. I feel like the experience would be a lot different because I would be playing with adults, but I am ready. Me being humble aggressive and hardworking would make me a perfect candidate for any team. I'm different because I am a very good teammate I don't believe in whose better than who because there is always room for improvement. There are some things that i can do that other may not be able to do. (vice versa) I am also wiling to take help from anybody without catching attitudes. Most players get mad or aggravated with their team, the other team, and even the referee. I work well with other and instead of being mad i just keep moving and keep it all in the inside. For the past 3 years i have been getting all A's and 1 b on every report card. Which is very depressing because I strive for all A's. My 11th grade year i had All A's until the teacher changed my grade to a b the 2nd day of summer. It hurt but life happens and everything happens for a reason. Playing basketball for a college would be amazing and my family would be extremely proud of me from all the hard work. I will be looking forward to any and all oppourtunites i may get in the future.
