Ellie Cook '23 Recruiting Profile

As a starting freshman on the varsity basketball team, I have set an example of the player I strive to be. The head coach asked me to step up into the role of leader and point guard. Her confidence in me has encouraged me to mold into the position quickly. Throughout this past season, I have been, "Team FYN Sports" player of the week, leading scorer as a freshman, and leader in steals per game. Along from my high school team, being on a nationally ranked travel team and winning championships has set the pace for where I want my basketball career to continue. The love of the game inspires me to work hard to increase my knowledge and skills.

Alongside my father, I enjoyed coaching my younger brother's recreation basketball team. To gain more experience, I would like to pursue more coaching in the future. The current goals I have for myself are to become a sports trainer at my high school and contribute back to my community. In essence, I want to go to college, play basketball, and strive to do my best in both.
