Upon entering college, I wish to continue playing basketball at a high level, while receiving a quality education to assist with working toward my goal of becoming a dermatologist. I strive to maintain excellence, not only on the basketball court, but in academics as well. I have maintained a straight A average throughout my school career while simultaneously being an active participant in clubs and sports. My motivation, enthusiasm, competitive spirit and strong work ethic are what drive me on a daily basis and have contributed to my success thus far as both a student and an athlete. Not only was I selected as a freshman to participate in a cohort of academically high performing students, but I was also honored to have the opportunity to serve as a starter on the varsity basketball team. In addition, I play club basketball for a championship team. Being a team player by supporting my teammates, demonstrating flexibility on the court, and working outside of practice to enhance my performance is important to me. When I make a commitment to a school, it will also serve as one to myself because I will always put forth a complete effort while welcoming all challenges.
