My name is Brecken Mire. I am a 5’10, left-handed guard and will be graduating high school in the year 2027. The gym is my favorite place to be. Whether it’s practice, trainings, watching, or playing games, basketball is where I want to be. I have such a competitive spirit and basketball allows me to be in my own competitive world. Whether it’s 1 on 1 trainings or being in a team atmosphere, I love putting in the work to improve my game. I believe it is important to be on a competitive team because it drives me to become a stronger player.
I love being around people who want to be in the gym just as much as I do. My closest friendships are with my teammates. We can have fun but challenge each other to be better each day. I also love the accountability we expect from each other.
I have different strengths on the court. Personally, I pride myself on my defense. I am able to contain a girl and not allow her to get to the hoop. I love getting my hand in the passing lane for those easy steals. On the other side of the ball, I also take pride in my ball handling and keeping poised while being pressured. My composure and ability to not get sped up helps with my on-court decision making. I also love to get to the hoop and put my defender in a spin cycle while finishing at the rim.
Outside of basketball, I love to spend time with my family and friends. I get to live in Sandpoint, Idaho, which is a beautiful town with an amazing lake. My family and I love to be out on the boat either swimming or wake surfing and just enjoying life.
