My collegiate goal is to graduate with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and pass the test to be a Professional Engineer (PE). Concurrent to achieving that goal, I aspire to play point guard on a collegiate basketball team. I have been playing basketball since grade school and my game can best be described with the term "When one scores, we all score." Like John Stockton, I do not need to be the one making the shot, but I put my team in the position to be successful. As point guard, draw the defense off balance, look for shot assists, cover and assist on defense, and cause deflections. I used those skills to help our team win their first state championship last year and after nine games this season we outscore other teams by more than seven points when I am on the court. Simply put, I try to elevate the games of those around me. My goal is to make my good team better and I don't need the spotlight on me.
