I am a 5'6 point guard/shooting guard from Kickapoo, Illinois, 15 miles west of Peoria, Illinois. I am currently a Senior at Brimfield High School-class of 2016. I am a 4 year starter. I was honored to be named Captain of our team last year as a Sophomore and Junior and again named Captain this year. My high school team has won our ICAC and Prairieland Conferences the past three years. I have been named first team all conference the last three years. I was chosen Honorable Mention IBCA All-State selection my Freshman and Sophomore years and 3rd team all-state my Junior year and was named Honorable Mention All State AP and Champaign Gazette Newss and also selected a Third Team All-Area player my Sophomore year and 1st team my Junior year. This year, preseason, I was designated All Area Player to Watch. My Freshman year, I was awarded the best defensive player for my high school team. I averaged 14.7 points per game my Freshman year. My Sophomore, I averaged 12.7 ppg while increasing my assist average. My Junior year, I averaged 17.2 ppg and 6.1 assists and led our team in those two categories as well as steals, 3.2 ppg. This year I am currently averaging 19.9 ppg with 7.3 asssists and 4.1 spg. My team is ranked 7th in the State for Class 1A. Our record was 27-6 my Sophomore year and 25-7 my Junior year. We are 22-4 currently. I have played AAU/USJN basketball with the Rush basketball program, mainly based out of the Peoria area, since I was in the 2nd grade. Rush is an elite program with outstanding appearances in many USJN and AAU tournaments. My Rush team won the AAU Illinois State tournament my 7th and 8th grade years and we also placed third in the 13U Music City Madness Tournament in Nashville TN. In addition, to playing on the Rush in my own age division, I also played up 2 years at the same time for the same program. I also led my junior high basketball team to back to back Illinois State Tournament Championships which was the first time that had happened in the history of our school. I hold several Illinois State Elementary School tournament scoring records from those 2 years. I want to play basketball at a higher level (preferably D-I). I continue to improve my game and would be a tremendous teammate for any team and would make an instant impact on a team that is looking for that kind of a player who is deadly from the 3 point line and can create her own shots and can beat players off the dribble. I am open to all athletic and/or academic scholarship opportunities at any level. Academically, I am interested in pursuing a degree which will enable me to enter law school and become a lawyer and I would like to be able to have an opportunity to pursue these goals in addition to pursuing my athletic goals. I have attached a copy of my high school schedule under the 2016 tab on my athletic page.
