They say home is where the heart is, but my heart has always been on the court. Growing up around boys, we was always in competition. I was always the athletic girl, always wanted to be outside with a ball. Everywhere I go I had a ball in my hand. When people saw me compete with the boys they were always suprised of my ability. I hungered to compete. I didn't want anything handed to me. I wanted to work for it. But is was something about that feeling of watching a basketball go through that net I just couldn't get enough of. The feeling you get when your sweating, dribbling the ball for a last second shot, and you hear all net. It's like an addiction. I never want to stop. No matter what I can't stop. Basketball is my therapy away from everything . That 94-feet is my releif. when I step on that court I'm releived of any stress, hurt, I'm a monster on that court. I'm 5'4 outside that 94 feet, but it's heart over height within there. I'm hungry, I'm never satisfied. Put me against lebron and I'm gone put all I got on that line. At the age I am, I feel like I have a good work ethic, I think it's always ways for improvement no matter what. School, basketball, you name it. Practice makes perfect. Those are one of my strengths, beign able to adapt to improvement. Being able to change even when the circumstances does. I would say this makes me stand out versus others. I have the ability to listen and accept change, if you tell me to do something I'm going to make it my job to do it, no matter how many times I fall, I'll still get up and try again. I also love being told no, to me no means try harder, work harder. A wise man told me " if you never been told no, how do you know your capability of working towards a yes. " failure is the best teacher. The weakest fail but the strongest gets back up. I take this advice in school too, I always asked my teacher what I can do to get my grades to be above average. Rather thats email, staying after school, extra homework. Hey, you name it. I'm never satisfied with my work.
