I aspire to play basketball at a high level because it is something that I truly love putting work, effort, and time into. I love to accept challenges and improve my game. I take advantage of great opportunities thrown my way with integrity. Whether I succeed or not, I never quit. Challenges motivate me the most!
At age 6, I was introduced to basketball through school intramurals. At age 10, I started playing competitively (two grades up). The following year (fifth grade), I started my AAU career and have continued to develop a love and dedication to the game ever since. In 8th grade I was named All-Conference, and freshman year I made the varsity team at Lockport Township High School. The summer going into my sophomore year, I was named a "Standout Athlete" by PassThaBall at the Xcitement All-American Camp, Chicago, along with being named "High School 1v1 Queen of the Court" at the same camp. Sophomore year, I earned a starting spot on the school varsity team mid-season as well.
Despite my love for the game, God, my family and academics will always come first. While striving to give 110% on the court, I continue to give no less in the classroom. In middle school, I was on high honor roll 6th-8th grade, along with placing 2nd for Representative Dan Lipinski's All-American Girl and Boy Contest in 7th grade. Freshman year, I was on the honor roll both semesters. This year, I chose not to enroll in any honors or AP courses because of the fact that I am highly involved in extracurricular activity. However, I do plan on enrolling in a few next year (my junior year). I currently hold a 4.0 GPA and am eligible for the 2019-2020 honor roll.
