Personal Statement

Because I am a athlete sports have help me embody  qualities of life such as leadership, teamwork and sportsmanship by pulling me out of my comfort zone. Being the only child you really don't do a whole lot of talking. Sports has taught me to push forward out of my comfort zone to become more vocal to show true loyalty and operate in true integrity. True leaders step up when everyone else is afraid to step up.It has taught me that sportsmanship goes beyond personal and even team goals as a student athlete. Its the willingness to push with a positive attitude even when your having a bad day. Always show respect even when you don't agree with something, its a controlled behavior. Teamwork is the willingness to put aside self and work towards one common goal. Playing two sports with  AAU teams and my high school teams has influenced me to give back. I currently mentor and coach the middle school volleyball and basketball teams at the middle school that I graduated from. As well as help my basketball trainer with the summer youth camps. Giving back and not being selfish with what God has blessed me with is the best reward one could ever receive. I want to teach the next generation after me by experience. I want them to know no matter what challenges they have in life they can push and persevere through them. Things don't always work out as we plan but to never give up. I think my generation and the generation after us need to learn what I call life strengthening skills. My generation is so quick to give up we can't handle the simplest things. So its up to me to teach the next generation that they are stronger than they think.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
