I have been playing basketball since I was in the fifth grade. I have always enjoyed watching basketball and being active, which encouraged my interest in playing the sport. Through my different experiences playing basketball, I have learned that I am extremely dedicated and passionate about basketball. It has taught me that when I am motivated to do something, I will achieve it, no matter how difficult the process may be. These experiences along with the character of my parents have shaped me into the motivated, focused, and persevering person that I am.
Basketball has also influenced my academic career. The competitive, ardent, and fulfilling nature that I experience when I play has allowed me to apply that to areas of my life aside from basketball, such as academics; this has helped me with consistency and stability in my high school career. Additionally, an important goal for my college career is to explore and discover a major that gives me the same passion that basketball gives me.
