My name is Addison Denney. I am in the graduating class of 2023 at Wamego High School in Kansas. I have had a growing passion for basketball ever since my first time playing in 2nd grade on my local rec team. I have now played on an AAU team over the summer for the past 4 years. My speed, agility, strength, and size has allowed me to become a strong wing player. I grew up playing a post, so I have the skill set needed for either position. I take pride in my defensive I.Q and work ethic to become the best player I can be.
My passion for basketball has led me to set high standards for myself and for the athletic goals that I am striving to achieve. One of my main goals being to play at the collegiate level on a highly competitive team that will push me out of my comfort zone and help me to grow as a person both on and off the court. Being able to create a future out of the game I love would be an incredible experience.
Throughout my educational journey, I have maintained a 4.29 gpa while completing a few AP and honors classes. Currently, my future academic goals are to go to a 4-year college and graduate school to get a Law degree. I love any chance I have to be a part of a team so, along with basketball, I also participate in both varsity tennis and track. I enjoy helping the community, so I involve myself in clubs such as FBLA and NHS, that dedicate time to helping those around us.
