My name is Carson Dean and I have been playing basketball since the third grade. I tore my ACL and meniscus in 2015 but that did not stop me from competing. May of 2018 I lost my father unexpectedly which was one of the hardest things to go through at the age of 15. This made me want to push harder towards basketball because he was the one who pushed me every day to become the player I am today. During the past season I just recently tore my other ACL and meniscus in February the game before playoff. started. My team and I won the district championship and fell short in the Final Four. I am continuing to play in recognition of my father so I am doing everything I can to become a collegiate level player. I have had a 4.0 gpa for the past 2 school years and no lower than a 3.5 cumulative gpa. When it comes to basketball I am a huge leader. I also love going the extra mile for someone or something when they are in need, whether it is putting in an extra practice to get better or helping a teammate out .
