I am a grade 10 student who fell in love with basketball, the feeling of being on the court, three years ago, and ever since then I've pushed myself and worked hard to be better. I'm naturally very strong - growing up I was almost always stronger than most my age, especially the girls, so sports was a great way to use my strength to my advantage. Though basketball is my main love, I also do track and field (specifically long jump, discuss, and shotput). I also did ringette, and during the summer I attend camps specifically for basketball, so I understand how to work as a team.
I understand what it means to be a hard worker. I'm diagnosed with ADD so over time I've learned how to push myself and keep going, even when things feel impossible to achieve. From a very young age, I knew I wanted to go into science and my science grades growing up showed my passion for it. I was a curious child and can still say that my curiosity is still there; science helps us understand the world around us and that's why I fell in love with it.
