Laila Williams '22 Recruiting Profile

 Hi, my name is Laila Williams. I am in class of 2022 and a current student at Western School of Technology and Environmental Science. I got accepted into Western Tech’s Sports Science magnet project. With being in this magnet, I received the opportunity to take class like anatomy and psychology, sport psychology, and paramedical biology. This has influenced my career desire which is to be a occupational therapist. But my little brother who has Apraxia has played a role. I want to be able to help younger kids just like him and see them grow overtime. 

Sports has always been a key thing in my life and very important to me. I’ve played basketball, lacrosse, and badminton. Even if it’s just for funny like when I played badminton or playing catch with a baseball with my dad or a competitive game, I enjoy every bit of it. Something that I learned from playing basketball for years is that it’s more than just a sport. My team regardless of how long we have played together is always another family to me. I will sacrifice anything for them on and off the court and I always there to check on somebody.
