Jenelle Anderson '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a Point Guard/Shooting Guard for AAU Columbia Ravens and our team won the 11th grade State Championship title representing our state of Maryland.  I am from Clarksville, Maryland and will graduate in the 2012 class. I have 6 years AAU basketball experience.  I was selected the All Tourney Player in 2006 AAU Tournament and selected the Best team player at Nationals in 2007 and I'm also our AAU team captain. I average 12-15points an AAU game and free throws are 95%, and I am a very good free throw and 3point shooter. Whenever there is a technical foul, I am asked to do the free throws for my AAU team. My grade point averages around 3.5 and I'm working hard to increase my GPA even higher  now as a primary focus. In order to do so I'm focusing all my efforts on highly competitive AAU sports, my academics and mentoring in Unified sports and volunteer/coaching Special Olympics.  Financial assistance is going to be very important to me in the college selection process as my family will have high need. I would be willing to travel farther to a school with less out of pocket expense.
