Personal Statement
As a student-athlete, I created the mindset for myself to treat every day like it’s my first day of tryouts, on the court and in the classroom. I push myself to not be mediocre, and not settle for just passing but exceeding. I use this mindset everyday so that I know that I’m truly pushing myself to my full capability. I allow myself to be vulnerable to take any type of criticism or critique, and I’m content with not being the center of attention because every center needs an edge. I wouldn’t sacrifice a win for the team just for a win for myself because I truly believe that there is no “I” in “TEAM”.
