I grew up playing basketball from a really young age. I've been pushed by my parents and coaches to become the best player on the court and a better person off the court. I was on my way to making varsity when I tore my ACL. During my recovery I made sure to ball handle until I was cleared to stand and shoot. It was then that I realized how strong my passion for basketball was. It was during that time that I knew I wanted to go into medical care and help athletes who had bad injuries happen to them, like myself. My dedication to basketball spread to academics. My current GPA is 3.8 and I'm working to keep it up.
