Crae Hutchison '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I’m Crae Hutchison and I’m a Type One Diabetic, but I don’t let that stop me from playing the game I love. I have been playing basketball since I was 5 years old. The first time I stepped on the court and picked up the ball I instantly knew that I wanted basketball to be in my life forever. I’m a 5’2 point guard/shooting guard from Nevada, Missouri. Freshman year I was a starter on my school's high school varsity team. I ended the season with over 200 points and Honorable Mention at Districts. As a sophomore I received 1st team all Districts and All-Conference and ended the season short of 200 points. I am a very driven athlete and willing to put in the time and effort to become better. 

I have a 3.8 GPA and on the Honor Roll. I always stay on top of all of my schoolwork and make sure I do my very best.  I am looking for a college that has the perfect balance between academics and athletics. I would like to pursue a job in health and medicine so I can become a Sports Medicine Doctor/ Anesthesiologist.

I think that I would be a good candidate for your team because I never give up and I am very determined. Once I have my mind set on something I will work until I get it done. If nothing is going right I try to find the best solution. If a teammate is confused I help them on where they need to go. I am not afraid to take the ball and make a way. I will find what's best for the team and try to make it happen.
